SPECIAL REQUEST: We kindly urge you to consider adding at least one of our own Bradford Farm grown crops to your weekly orders. We are working with quite a number of other farms to bring you the best access to regional flavor that we possibly can, but the heartbeat of our farm is our homegrown crops. We can’t exist without moving our own crops too. So please review the crops we offer under Bradford Farm Crops below and consider adding one or more of them. It helps us a ton.

NEW! Ginger Gold apples - Lively Orchard

Ginger Gold is the first apple of the year!
Early-season mountain apple; crisp, pale-gold skin, honey-sweet flavor with a citrusy finish. Holds color when cut, excellent raw or cooked.
We’re excited to be bringing back apples from Stephanie Lively’s family-run orchard in Hendersonville. Stephanie has taken over daily operations in recent years and brings a chef’s eye to the orchard, paying close attention to ripeness, storage, and handling so the fruit arrives crisp and balanced. Her Ginger Golds are a true early-harvest standout. Grown in the cool air of Hendersonville’s mountain ridge, these apples ripen with a pale golden skin that hints at the honeyed sweetness inside. Unlike many early-season apples, Ginger Golds hold a firm, crisp texture with a bright snap and a balanced flavor—sweet upfront with a clean, citrusy finish. Their flesh resists browning, which makes them an excellent choice for raw applications: think salads, cheese pairings, or finely sliced garnish where visual appeal matters. Cooked, they soften quickly into a fragrant, delicate sauce or filling that carries both sweetness and acidity in harmony.
NEW! Autumn Frost butternut

Autumn Frost is the cooler, more refined cousin of the butternut—compact, tan-orange skin with a natural frosted bloom and rich, deep-orange flesh inside. Grown slow and steady through the cooling nights of fall, it develops an intensely sweet, nutty flavor with a buttery texture that softens beautifully when roasted.
This squash caramelizes easily, turning silky and aromatic—perfect for soups, purees, or roasting halves for plating. The variety’s thick walls and smooth flesh make it a chef’s favorite for both presentation and yield. It’s a true autumn ingredient—dense, flavorful, and built for comfort dishes that don’t need much else to shine.
6-7 count into the box. 10-12lbs.
NEW! Delicata squash

Delicata is a classic hard squash prized for its naturally sweet, creamy flesh and thin, edible skin. Unlike many hard squash varieties, it requires no peeling, making it an efficient choice for high-volume kitchens while minimizing waste.
Its flavor is rich but delicate, with notes of roasted sweet potato, sweet corn, and chestnut, balanced by a light buttery finish. The flesh becomes smooth and custard-like when roasted while still holding its shape, making it well suited to both rustic and refined preparations.
Delicata shines when simply roasted with olive oil and fresh herbs, but it is equally at home stuffed, grilled, sautéed, or incorporated into warm grain dishes, pastas, risottos, and seasonal salads. Its natural sweetness pairs beautifully with brown butter, sage, maple, apples, pears, toasted nuts, aged cheeses, pork, duck, and earthy mushrooms.
With its attractive cream-colored skin and green striping, Delicata delivers both visual appeal and dependable flavor—an exceptionally versatile squash for autumn and winter menus.
NEW! Acorn squash

Acorn squash is valued for its sweet, tender flesh and compact size, making it an ideal choice for both individual presentations and family-style dishes. Its golden-orange interior develops a rich, nutty sweetness when roasted, balanced by subtle earthy notes and a firm, creamy texture.
The natural cavity lends itself perfectly to stuffing with grains, mushrooms, sausage, wild rice, or seasonal vegetables, while the flesh also performs beautifully in purées, warm salads, curries, and roasted vegetable medleys. Its edible skin softens during cooking, allowing the squash to be served whole for an elegant presentation.
Equally comfortable in rustic comfort food or refined seasonal menus, acorn squash brings warmth, sweetness, and versatility to the fall and winter kitchen.
