Wild Hope Farm new crop additions 9/17!

Harvested this morning, 4 brand new items! See below for descriptions and images. Now available for weekly ordering with prices listed.

PRICKLY PEAR

A rare Southern-grown treat—Wild Hope’s prickly pears bring vibrant magenta flesh, a naturally sweet, melon-like flavor, and subtle floral notes. Their high juice content makes them excellent for syrups, cocktails, sorbets, and sauces, while the striking color holds beautifully in both sweet and savory applications. Harvested at peak ripeness, these fruits deliver brightness and tropical flair straight from the Carolinas.

RED CHARD, RHUBARB SUPREME

This striking red chard variety is known for its vivid rhubarb-colored stems and tender, deep-green leaves. Grown and freshly cut at Wild Hope Farm, it offers a mild, earthy flavor with a touch of sweetness, and cooks down into a silky texture. Excellent raw in salads for color contrast, or quickly wilted, sautéed, or folded into grains and pasta.

RED RADISH WITH TOPS

Bright, crisp red radishes harvested with their lush green tops still attached. The roots bring a clean peppery crunch—perfect raw, pickled, or roasted—while the tender greens offer a slightly spicy, earthy flavor that can be sautéed or blended into pestos. A two-in-one ingredient that delivers both flavor and freshness straight from Wild Hope Farm.

KOMATSUNA, FRESH WHOLE LEAF

Komatsuna, often called Japanese mustard spinach, is prized for its versatility, nutrition, and flavor. Wild Hope’s crop delivers tender, glossy leaves with a mild, slightly sweet mustard bite—delicate enough to serve raw, but robust enough to hold its character when sautéed, braised, or folded into soups and noodles. Unlike many specialty greens, Komatsuna has exceptional shelf life and a consistent texture across the bunch, making it a true workhorse in the kitchen.

This green is an investment in both flavor and efficiency: you get minimal waste, a unique ingredient that elevates simple preparations, and a product that connects your menu to one of the rarest Asian greens grown locally in the Carolinas.
