Dorr Farms’ Adirondack Red potatoes are one of the few colored-flesh potatoes that deliver both striking appearance and real eating quality. Originally bred in the Adirondack region of New York, the variety was developed to combine vibrant natural pigmentation with balanced texture and strong potato flavor.

The flesh ranges from deep rose to crimson-red throughout the tuber, holding much of its color even after cooking. Unlike many novelty potatoes that lean dry or chalky, Adirondack Reds stay smooth and creamy with a clean finish and a subtle earthy sweetness.

The red pigmentation comes from naturally occurring anthocyanins, giving the potatoes both visual depth and a slightly fuller, more mineral-driven flavor profile.
